It
being the hot, fiery, medicinal herb that it is, I was surprised to find little
information on the magical uses of Cayenne in the literature, either in history
or in pagan texts. The best I can find on this particular herb is that it
is bound to Mars and fire, and that it offers protection, strength, motivation,
courage, and increases the size of the individual's aura. I have found no
specifics on how to elicit these properties, but I would assume that it can be
drunk in Teas (for strength,
motivation, and courage) or hung in the four corners of the house (for
protection). As for increasing the size of the aura, it's a hot herb, and
as body temperature increases, it stands to reason that the aura would also
increase.
Whatever
you do magically, don't burn dried whole Cayenne peppers as an incense.
They pop loudly and emit vapors that induce sometimes violent sneezing.
If
you have any further information on this particular herb, please Email me, and I
will credit you for the information on this page.
