Every serious garden enthusiast eventually comes to the conclusion that a home greenhouse is at the top of the list for his or her own personal continuing gardening evolution.  Greenhouses afford the opportunity to experiment with unusual or hard to grow plants, garden during the winter,  and perfect propagation and seeding techniques - all in a controlled, up-close and personal environment.

So why don't we all have greenhouses out back?  Two reasons that I can think of - money and space.  There's no sugar-coating it - greenhouses are a fair-sized garden investment and take up a fair amount of space.  Certainly, you can build your own to save money if you have the tools and the skills, but most of us are going to have to buy a prefab house of some sort.

Greenhouse manufacturers are aware of both the money and the space concerns of their customers, and have put out a wide variety of really nice styles, from wood-framed to English Garden designs to cool looking futuristic designs.  Good choices for those without much room can be found in styles that adjoin the house, basically leaving the landscape in the yard unscathed.  So basically, whatever your situation, there is a playhouse - oops greenhouse - available that will likely suit your needs.  However, before you do make that investment, a primer in greenhouse placement and maintenance is probably in order, and this will be the focus - along with finding links for the best greenhouse vendors on the net - for the rest of this section.   So do bookmark and return often, as these pages are updated daily.
