Homemade Garlic Bread

- 4 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped fine
- 1/2 pound of butter, softened
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 teaspoons fresh or dried chopped basil
- 3 teaspoons fresh or dried chopped oregano
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1 loaf French or Italian Bread

Cut the bread in half lengthwise and set aside.  Mix all other ingredients thoroughly into a smooth paste.  Spread the mixture onto each bread half using a knife (or fork if you want texture).  Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven until bubbly.

Green Beans with Garlic

- 1.5 pounds of cleaned green beans with ends removed.
- 3 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
- 1 tablespoon of dried dill, or 4 tablespoons fresh
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt & Pepper to taste

Place the beans in a large pot of boiling, salted water (1 tablespoon salt).  Cook until tender, but not limp.  Remove from pot and pour into a bowel of cold water to stop the cooking process.  In a large pan, add oil and beans, and cook for a few minutes until the beans are warm.  Add the garlic and dill, and cook until heated through.  Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
